🌾 ABOUT INDIA FOOD EXPO 2026

India Food Expo (IFX) is India’s leading exhibition dedicated to the food processing and allied industries.
Organized annually by the Indian Industries Association (IIA) in Lucknow since 2004, the Expo brings together manufacturers, technologists, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers under one roof to explore the immense potential of India’s growing food ecosystem.

India’s Food Processing Industry: Driving Growth & Opportunity

According to the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), India’s food processing sector’s market size is estimated to more than double from Rs. 2,641,121 Crore (US $ 307 billion) in 2023 to Rs. 6,022,100 Crore (US $ 700 billion) in 2030 driven by growing demand for processed products. According to the Viksit Bharat @2047 report, India’s food processing sector will grow significantly, reaching US $ 1100 billion by FY35, US $ 1500 billion by FY40, US $ 1900 billion by FY45 and US $ 2150 billion by FY47.

With growing urbanization, rising disposable incomes, and increased demand for packaged, organic, and ready-to-eat foods, India is emerging as a global hub for food innovation. By 2030, Indian household consumption is expected to triple, making the country the fifth-largest consumer market worldwide.

Uttar Pradesh: The Food Bowl of India

The State of Uttar Pradesh (UP) plays a pivotal role in India’s agri-food value chain.
It is the nation’s largest producer of wheat, mango, potato, peas, gooseberry, and watermelon, and a key center for processing fruits & vegetables, dairy, poultry, sugar, rice, meat, confectionery, and snack foods.

Under the Food Processing Policy 2023, the Government of Uttar Pradesh aims to increase the level of value addition in agri-produce from 6 % to 20 %, offering attractive incentives for investment in food processing, cold chain, logistics, and R&D infrastructure.
With its vision of contributing to a US $ 1 trillion state economy by 2027, UP presents immense opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, and technology providers.
